
Abraham E.S. Rebollo-Trujillo (s/he) is a dramaturg, translator, performer, and designer born and raised in Henderson, TX by immigrant, working-class parents from Mexico. She holds an A.B. in Theater, Dance, & Media from Harvard University, 2020, and an M.F.A. in Dramaturgy & Dramatic Criticism from Yale School of Drama, 2026.
His work is inspired by the lessons learned growing up marginalized by U.S.-American society. She’s concerned with liberation, resistance, anti-imperialism, and justice, seeking to identify, combat, and dismantle systems that destroy people’s lives the world over. His research has examined theater under neo-liberal and right-wing dictatorships in modern Mexico and Greece, as well as theatrical responses to periods of crisis in the modern histories of both countries.
She has collaborated across borders, travelling to Greece, Mexico, Spain, Poland, and Germany to study, create works, and conduct research. Notable projects include The Colored Museum (dramaturgy, Umbrella Stage Company), Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Board Members (co-dramaturgy, Yale Rep), and What Rough Beast (dramaturgy, Carlotta Festival of New Plays).
He speaks, reads, and writes with native proficiency in Spanish and English, and with professional working proficiency in Modern Greek. Current translation projects include Bajo Tierra by David Olguín and Η τιμή τις ανταρσίας στην μαύρη αγορά by Dimitris Dimitriadis. When not translating plays, she likes to enjoy the outdoors, bake and cook, and play with his two cats. She is currently based in New Haven, CT and will be relocating to Chicago in July 2026.
